Los Gatos softball won two games Saturday, 7-2 over Homestead and 16-2 over Santa Teresa, to capture the Los Gatos-Westmont Varsity Softball Tournament and improve to 14-1 overall.
The Wildcats are 3-0 in league, and will resume action Wednesday, April 15 when Saratoga visits in a league game.
Seniors Grace Tucker and Tessa Lilienstein both carry .500 batting averages after 15 games, with junior Ava Norquist not far behind at .447 and senior Olivia Sickels at .426. Tucker leads the team in hits with 27, triples with two and home runs with 4 (tied with junior Danica DeSantis). Tucker has also scored 23 runs to lead the team. Sickels has 9 doubles from her lead-off spot to lead the team.
In the circle, Norquist has 9 wins with 55 strikeouts in 51 innings pitched. DeSantis has 5 wins with 30 strikeouts in 41 innings.
