Los Gatos junior Ava Norquist tossed a complete-game three-hitter, and the Wildcats made two first-inning runs stand up in a 2-0 nonleague win over Branham Tuesday night.

Junior Cate Zeman drew a one-out walk in the bottom of the first, and senior Grace Tucker followed with a sharp single to right to move Zeman to second. Norquist walked to load the bases. A wild pitch scored Zeman from third as everyone moved up a base, and senior Tessa Lilienstein grounded a single to left to score Tucker with what turned out to be the game's only two runs.

The Cats are back in action tonight (Thursday) when Westmont visits Los Gatos in another nonleague matchup.
