Grace Tucker drove home the first two runs of the game with a two-out single in the bottom of the third, and Tessa Lilienstein singled home another run in the inning to help lead Los Gatos to a 5-0 win over Soquel Monday night at Los Gatos.

Ava Norquist tossed a complete-game two hitter, needing only 77 pitches to record her second shutout of the young season. 55 of her pitches were strikes as the junior fireballer struck out seven and walked no one.

Second-baseman Olivia Sickels started a 4-6-3 double play in the top half of the third, grabbing a hard ground ball to her left, pivoting and making a strong throw to shortstop Tucker.

The Cats added a final run in the sixth when Norquist led off with a single and Lilienstein dropped down a perfect bunt for a base hit, with Norquist alertly taking third. Lilienstein stole second, and Haley Betti launched a long fly ball to right-center field for a sacrifice fly.

Lilienstein and Kendall Feichtmeir each had two hits for the Wildcats. Tucker, Norquist and Betti had one hit each.

Cats will travel to Mitty Thursday afternoon before wrapping up the week with three games in a Watsonville tournament Saturday.
