Olivia Sickels doubled and scored to open the game Monday night against Westmont, but it was only the beginning of a very big night for junior.

Sickels ripped a two-out triple in the second, then smashed a solo home run over the left-field fence in the fourth to make it a 3-0 game.

After Westmont scored in the top of the fifth to make it 3-1, Robyn Young led off the bottom of the sixth with a double off the right-field fence and scored when Sickels blasted her second home run of the night two batters later to make it 5-1.

Sophomore Ava Norquist tossed four innings to pick up the win, with sophomore Danica DeSantis closing it out with three strong innings, striking out four and walking no one to pick up the save.

Los Gatos collected 10 hits, with Addie Sorto, Grace Tucker, Ava Norquist, Lily Young and Keira Kelly each chipping in with a single. Kendall Feichtmeir and Robyn Young each scored a run.

It is back to league action today as the Cats host Wilcox in a 4 p.m. De Anza League tilt. Los Gatos will travel to Homestead Thursday afternoon.
